Tell us your problems in learning English.
1 .What works for you and what does not?
2. How much have you learned this year?
3. Are you happy with your progress?
Even though I have been in Singapore for 2 years, My English still not improve a lot. Actually I have contemplated about how to learn English long time ago, but I still didn't find the efficient methods to learn English.
This year, finally I have found varieties of methods to learn English, and my experiences proved that it's working. I must appreciate Ao chengkai, our Singapore top N level student, taught me many efficient and very different methods to learn English. These methods especially work for the foreign students.
Basically, I am happy with my progress and I will persevere in learning English and here I want to share some methods to everybody who wants to learn English well. These methods may look silly sometimes, but without doubt that it's really work----at least for me.
About English pronunciation:
1. Try to talk in English and think in English(very important) as much as possible because you never talk you will never know your mistakes)
2. For foreign students, try your best to speak standard international acceptable English，best method is listening to CNN or BBC news(my experiences told me that had better practice with native speaker,talk to Singaporean sometimes will mislead you..except teachers@.@)
3. Find any electronic gadget(eg psp,ipod,handphone) ,read any articles loudly to record your voice, and replay it again and again until find your mistakes(Chengkai taught me..)
4. Talk to yourselves every now and then if you like...(Chengkai's favourite- -)
5. Last point => Don’t be shy, just try…most of people complaint that oral English is difficult because you are not confident enough- -！
